Tell the CPUC- Restore the Analog Meters!

If you are a California utility customer, please send this new letter- Restore the Analog Meters! to the California Public Utilities Commission. Its a quick and simple way to get the message to those who have mandated the program and who have the authority to fix the problem.  Many people need immediate relief and the Commissioners are the decision makers that can provide it.  In California there are five Commissioners:

Please circulate this letter to others in California.  If you do not live in Caifornia, feel free to copy and distribute for your own state PUC as well.

UPDATE: When you call the Commissioners they may tell you to call Harold Williams. Harold is not a decision maker, and do not be fooled into calling elsewhere. Ask to speak to the Commissioner adviser and tell them what you want.

  1. Our meter reader told us she reads 5000 meters per month. That means
    with an added fee of $20 per customer, EACH METER READER could bring
    in $100,000 per month to the PG&E dark hole’s bottom line or 1.2
    million dollars per year (that’s just one meter reader). I guess PG&E
    figures they can let go of tiered pricing to rip us off if they can
    make more money with the opt out. Oh yeah, I guess the “environmental
    benefits” BS line will be dropped for a price. Makes sense, smart
    meters were conceived of years ago when utilities decided to make more
    money by axing the meter readers.

  2. There is nothing wrong w/ the analog meters currently use. NO smartmeters please.

    by mistake .

  6. It is time the CPUC started really being a ‘public’ body rather than one so tied to PG&E. Smart meters are not the solution — they are the problem. So what if in their arrogance, PG&E thought all citizens would bend over and take it because the corporation wanted more profit. At our expense of course — both monetarily and health wise.

    Stand by consumers and restore analog meters.

  8. im in oregon.can anyone help me?im as broke as i am sick ,cant afford to move or buy nifty products to protect me.i feel i will die from these.soon.please help
