  1. I want the smart meter removed from my home. Ever since it was installed, my health has deteriorated. I will not put up with this kind of disrespect for our rights as American citizens. You must begin to remove the smart meters from homes that are refusing them.

  2. Phebe Fletcher says:

I’ve heard that it is possible to hire someone to remove the smart meter and replace an old meter. How can I get this info?

  3. admin says:

Some people have done this. See this post: http://emfsafetynetwork.org/?p=4722

  4. Charlotte Gilchrist says:

I have spoken to two PG&E Smart Meter Customer Service Reps. this week. They say they cannot remove the meters and trade out for analog. At best they are hoping to be able to “turn off the signal” and charge us to do that and charge us a monthly fee to have a meter man read our meters. How would we even know if this was true? They said they have submitted an “Opt Out” proposal (which would be the turn off and charge more option) to the PUC and have not heard a response. Trying to work your way up the chain to find someone in authority is not easy.

  5. admin says:

There is an opt out proceeding in process at the California Public Utilities Commission. I believe it will be completed within a few months to a year. Restoring the analog meters is one possible choice, but the Commission has not ruled on it. People have been restoring their own analog meters, with an electrician’s help. Happy EMR Action Day! citizens for safe technology”
what a wonderful resource; media kits and informational materials for your local community. Libraries. Schools. Fire Stations….

  7. Vicky Benjamin says:

Don’t fall for an “opt out” when there wasn’t an “opt in” in the first place! This is an industry ploy to undermine our rights. It also gives them an “in” again at a later stage.
The word to use is “refuse” instead.
